Movie Metadata Lookup

iFlicks relies on The Movie Database to find metadata for movies in a wide range of languages. Metadata Lookup is generally very reliable, but it is necessary to make sure that iFlicks is able to find the correct match. Especially for remakes of Movies it is important that iFlicks also has the year the Movie was first released in order to pick the correct match.



Metadata lookup even works well if an alternative title for the movie was used for lookup. Fuzzy matching is used to match even in case of minor misspellings, but it is required that the search term closely matches the correct title, so that incorrect matches are kept at a minimum.
