Version 1.4.3 is a bug fix release for the current stable 1.4 series. This version now allows videos to be automatically stored to the same folder as the input video and also adds the ability to update video files directly. Additionally temporary files are now stored in the selected output folder for videos. This mainly benefits users working with multiple hard drives and is necessary to comply with App Store guidelines when adding videos to iTunes.

Changes

  • Temporary files are now stored in the selected destination folder
  • Ability to encode videos to folder of source file.
  • Option to update m4v/mp4/mov video files directly. more.
  • Improved Quick Look integration
  • Fixed UK Content Ratings
  • Fixed crash on case sensitive filesystems

Does this version have the option from Hard Subs or is that still being implemented?

Could you add an option to choose the TMP file directory. I use the "automatically add to iTunes" Folder on a network connected mac as my destination folder - this works perfectly, the only problem is that in addition to the correctly named tv episode file - iTunes also adds the tmp file into the movies section. A selectable TMP Folder would solve this issue for me.

I'm new to iFlicks and so far I'm underwhelmed.
I'm running an iMac with Lion, latest version of everything. Also Elgato EyeTV as my source.
I initially used the Apple TV 2 preset, and when Run was clicked, the progress bar ran in reverse. It started off with a full-length blue line advising me that I have less than 10 seconds to go, but then the time increases, and after about half an hour I was advised that completion was 37 minutes away. At this point I gave up.
Then I tried using "iTunes Compatible" only to be advised that I was running 64 bit iTunes. I changed it to 32 bit as advised and tried again. Now I'm advised that the Elgato EyeTV file creates an error because its not a proper movie file.
This product came recommended but with what I have experienced, I think I'd rather get my money back.

What's the next step?
